Tissue Paper Eggs

You know what I hate most about painting Easter eggs? And I've talked to other moms… This is a common problem. The fact that my little ones think it's super funny to break eggs all over my table. Well, not with this craft no siree! I love how this craft incorporated the use of paper mache eggs because I had not even thought of doing that! (despite wishing my eggs wouldn't break every year) The added tissue paper makes the eggs so bright, pretty, and extremely durable for easter games and decorations. You're going to love this cute craft!

Although animals wouldn't typically come to mind when thinking about painting Easter eggs, these turn out too cute to pass up! They can also be used as great decorations for a garden, or you could make a game out of finding the little animals during your Easter egg hunt. This tutorial will show you how to make either a fox, dear, or raccoon. So adorable!

Watercolor Floral Eggs

Easter is almost here, which means spring is in the air! Here in Michigan, our family literally came out of an almost SIX.. month hibernation. We had 13 snow days this year. Which, to put this into perspective growing up I was lucky to get one! These watercolor floral eggs turn out so elegant, and pretty! Plus, they are extremely easy to make with basically just the right paint needed to make them. These are the perfect garden decoration, and will put you in the mood for the warmer weather ahead!

If you're trying to tell where the Easter Bunny has been, EGGS marks the spot! This DIY bunny Easter egg is so adorable! After you dye the eggs using food coloring it's essentially just taking a sharpie and drawing the bunny on, and your kids are sure to love them! This is great school craft, or if you're in an area like me where it's 50 degrees one day and 12 degrees and snowing the next, a great craft for the days you have to stay inside. Show somebunny you love them!

This watercolor egg craft using markers is a perfect alternative if your kids are too young to be trusted with dye but you still want your eggs to turn out as nice as they would with dye! The tutorial is super easy to follow, and markers are always a better bet with the little ones. Trust me, you don't want to learn that the hard way!

These Disney Pixar eggs are so incredibly fun, your kids are sure to love them! My kids are young enough where making simple eggs using paint, and dye is enough fun for them but I can imagine for some of the older age kids doing something that takes a little more talent would suit them. This craft would also be perfect for a Pixar party theme activity too. You'll love these!

You can call me late to the game if you want but I JUST recently found out who Rae Dunn is, and her art and products are simply amazing! These DIY Easter Eggs are extremely decorative and would look perfect in an entryway. Your kids can help with you with this, but in my opinion, this is a "mommy" craft. The eggs have "Happy Easter", "Egg Hunt", the face of a bunny, and blessed on them. She shows you how to print out the correct font, and create something extremely aesthetically appealing. This is one of my favorite DIY Easter egg crafts I have seen for sure!

These Easter Eggs dyed with blueberries turn out Eggstremely gorgeous. They almost look like they are stained with watercolor but not very precisely on purpose due to the white specks that give it an even more attractive look. These take a bit more preparation than just using dye or paint, but when you see the finished product you will know it's worth it!

Highlighter Easter Eggs

These are an absolute GAME CHANGER if you have little ones in the house, and are short on time (which you probably are if you have little ones in the house) These Easter Eggs are painted using only highlighter and sharpies, but still, turn out incredibly cute and decoration worthy! It becomes more stressful than fun, and then it's no fun for your kids either! Glowing skin (or eggs) are always in, I love this idea!

They are relatively easy to make, and your kids will love making them because if your kids are anything like mine Mcdonalds or any place with a hamburger is life. I could cook up a 5-course meal for my kids and they'd be talking about when the next time they get a happy meal is

Hard boil eggs, acrylic paint, a glue gun, ribbons, and some toothpicks… That's all you need to make these hilarious and cute Easter Egg Ninjas. I'll be honest when my Mitchy ended up choosing this as the Easter Egg craft he wanted to make this year I was low key disappointed. We made five of these little ninjas and hid them with the rest of the kid's eggs in the Easter Egg hunt we have in our backyard yearly. It was a complete hit and I would recommend these to anyone!

When it's do or dye time but you're more of a natural ingredient user, these are a good alternative and they turn out so unique and pretty! I'm far too lazy to do this, plus my kids would get all of this everywhere, but I think it would be a great lesson to teach your kids about the benefits of using natural ingredients and to show them to use their imagination. They create the coolest and most natural colors, definitely worth the work!

Eggs, bleeding tissue paper, and a spray bottle will give you quite possibly the prettiest Easter Eggs I have ever seen! When I stumbled upon this DIY craft I knew I was going to rally the troops (my children) and do this right away. The thing with this craft that I love so much is the absence of any kind of a mess, and how fun it was for them to do. I absolutely love any craft that I can do with my children, and then use. These will be done again next year!

I think this may be the most unique and modern take on Easter Egg decorating that I have seen thus far! These eggs remind me of the kitchen counter we recently had done and I can so vividly picture these in my kitchen or any kitchen looking gorgeous this spring for the Holiday. Preparation for this is a little more intensified than other DIY Easter egg dyeing crafts, but as Booker T Washington once said "nothing ever comes to one worth having, except as a result of hard work!"
