Use this article to learn about Netflix features on Chromebook and Chromebox, and how to set up and sign out of your account.

You can watch Netflix on Google Chromebook and Chromebox computers using the Chrome browser or the Netflix app from the Google Play Store. Netflix streaming features on Chromebook and Chromebox computers include:

Navigation

Browsing: Netflix.com shows rows of TV shows and movies to browse. You can also browse genres from the Browse drop-down menu.
Search: Search for specific TV show or for movie titles, actors, directors, or genres from the search box in the upper right corner of the Netflix.com menu bar.
TV show or movie pages: Place your cursor over a TV show or movie poster to see a brief synopsis, years produced, and maturity rating. Clicking the title from this section takes you to a full description.
Playback: Click a poster to begin playing a TV show or movie. During video playback, use the scroll bar at the bottom of the player screen to fast forward, rewind, or see more options. To stop video playback, select the back button from the upper left corner of your screen. If the scroll bar or back button are not visible on your screen, move your cursor until they appear.

Navigate to Netflix.com.
Select Sign In.
- If you're not a member, set up your membership.
Play a TV show or movie.
A yellow bar will appear asking for permission to store data on the computer.
Select OK.

Your device is now connected to your Netflix account.

To download the Netflix app, the Google Play Store must be enabled on your computer. Visit the Google support site for help if the Play Store is not already enabled.

Open the Play Store app.
Search for Netflix
Select the Netflix app.
Select Install.
- If prompted, sign in to your Google account.
The Netflix app will be downloaded and installed on your computer.
Click the Launcher ()
Find and select the Netflix app.
Once inside the Netflix app, select Sign in.
- If you're not yet a member, set up your membership.
Enter your Netflix email and password and select Sign in.
